Chittaurgarh is the district of the Rajasthan (India). It is the home of the largest for of India (Chittaurgarh) fort. Main attraction of the place is "The Chittaurgarh Fort"

Area : Cover 700 acres.

Year : In the 7th Century AD.

Kirti Stambha (Tower of Fame)

Height : 22-m high tower
Meaning and Name : It is called the Kirti(Fame) Stambh(Tower)
Built year : Around the 12th century
Buiding Type : Jain Structure
Built by : Jain merchant who was dedicated to Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankar (Revered Jain preacher). This tower is devoted to Digamber following of Jain religion.
Structure : There is a narrow stairway, which gives way to the seven floors to the top. Kirti Stambh is a very prominent medieval structure in Chittorgarh. Kirti Stambh is a good tourist destination also because of its architecture.  


Vijay Stambha (Tower of Victory)

Constructed by :  Mewar king Rana Kumbha 
Built Year : between 1442 AD and 1449 AD to commemorate his victory over the combined armies of Malwa and Gujarat led by Mahmud Khilji .
Dedicated to : Vishnu 
Construction : 37.19 m high 9 storied tower(157 Narrow steps
Material : It is built partly of red sand stone and partly of white marble and is enriched by numerous images of Hindu gods and goddesses with inscriptions at bottom of each. It is believed that the tower took 10 years to be completed. 
The interior : staircase winds alternately through the central chamber and surrounding gallery.
Arts : Each of the nine stories of Vijay Stambha is distinctly marked with openings and balconies at every facade of each story. The interior staircase winds round alternately through the central chamber and neighboring gallery. The inscribed slabs in the uppermost story contain the lineage of the rulers of Chittor from Hamir to Rana Kumbha. 

Rana Kumbha Palace


Construction : The Tripolia gate at the entrance opens to the large courtyard. Originally built by the founder of the House of Mewar, Bappa Rawal in 734 AD, it was renovated by Maharana KUMBHA (1433-1468).
History : The famed poetess, Princess MIRA BAI once lived here. The legend of PANNA DHAI saving infant Udai Singh is also associated with the palace.Rana Kumbha Palace in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, India is the very place where Padmini committed Jauhar or self-immolation along with her lady 700 followers to save honor. The archeologists are still in search of the underground cellars where this hopeless act to save their honor was performed.

Gaumukh Kund

Gaumukh Kund, literally Gomukh means the mouth of a Cow, is a beautiful cute reservoir located on the western side of the Chittorgarh Fort, the impressive attraction in Chittorgarh. The name Gomukh is derived from the natural beauty of a perennial cascade at its origin formed and flows out as the mouth of a cow or as a Gomukh. The water flows through a crack in the Rock and eventually fall into the Reservoir at Gomukh. The Reservoir is placed in a scenic location, attracting many tourists.
  
Government Museum

Maharaja Fateh Singh Ji built this palace at Chittorgarh in the 19 Cent. A.D. In 1968 Department of Archaeology Museums converted this beautiful palace in to museum, in order to preserve and highlight the heritage of this region. The collection includes objects of stone age, 632 sculptures, 2061 coins, 125 paintings and 318 arms weapons, 2 inscriptions, 55 terracotta figures, 18 metallic objects and 70 objects of art craft.
